The Partner

Youth-focused product creator

A creator of a social emotional learning card game for young people who needed classroom-ready structure around the product.

What They Needed
  • The card game was engaging but had no instructional arc, so sessions ended without takeaways.
  • Facilitators were not all trained educators and needed language they could use directly.
  • The creator needed something schools and programs could adopt without extra training.
The Solution
  • Designed a 5–7 lesson sequence that builds from self-awareness to relationship skills.
  • Wrote facilitation notes, discussion prompts, and sentence stems for each session.
  • Added light reflection artifacts so growth is visible across the unit.
The Impact
  • The product became a curriculum, not just a game — easier to pitch to schools and programs.
  • Non-educator facilitators could run sessions confidently from the guide.
  • Sessions ended with a named takeaway instead of an open-ended conversation.
